Media launch of NSAs platform

The NSAs charter and the platform for advocacy were launched at a media launch on 8th June 2017 in Accra. It was attended by a large number of media houses and NSA representatives across the country and Development Partners. There were solidarity messages from various supporting partners and organizations, a power point presentation of the charter, and official launch by the Chief of Party of JSI in Ghana. Copies of the charter were distributed to the media and participants followed by series of media interviews.

 

 

Media engagement and discussion of the charter

A number of media houses have invited the lead organisations for the discussion of the charter and the role of NSAs in ensuring the development agenda of Ghana. Adom TV, UTV, Radio Ghana and Starr Fm.

 

 

NSAs Media engagements

After the media launch of the NSA Ghana Charter, the team continued its media advocacy activities in the main media networks across the country.

Some of the issues include:

  • Sustainable funding for health sector development;
  • Health financing;
  • Universal access to healthcare;
  • sanitation and its impact on health;
  • Immunization services;
  • the future for the Ghanaian infant;
  • Health systems and community systems strengthening

Also on special days celebrated on themes around health, NSA Ghana has mounted several media sensitization and awareness creation activities to mark these days.
